Chittorgarh Tour

Chittorgarh is a popular tourist destination because of the presence of a large number of forts, palaces, temples and other Rajputs’ monuments. However, the most famous and majestic among this, is undoubtedly, the Chittorgarh fort. The fort, casually known as Chittor, was the capital of Mewar and is now situated south of Bhilwara. Sprawling over a large area of 692 acres, the fort proves to be the proud of Chittorgarh tourism. Inside the fort are many gates and monuments which together contribute to the majesty of the fort. The fort has in total 7 gates, all of which have been built as massive stone structures with secure fortifications for military purpose. The doors of the gates with high pointed arches are specifically reinforced to fend off elephants and cannon shots.
